How was Greenall’s Adrenaline Tours founded?

Well, it’s a long (but fun) story!
My enthusiasm for all things foreign started as a young child listening to shortwave radio stations with my father. By listening to different people all over the globe, I developed a passion for languages, far away lands, and different cultures. This passion grew during my studies as I furthered my knowledge of languages such as French, Spanish and Serbian amongst others. After finishing studies and working for a bit in the hospitality and life insurance industries, I had saved enough money to start seeing all of these places that I once read about as a child.
So, over the last seven or eight years I have traveled throughout all parts of Europe and a bit of Latin America, learning as I go, and experiencing all that these places have to offer. during these travels, I have found things that many people can only read or dream about. These include taking 12 hour train rides and finding accommodation for my destination while on that very train over a bottle of whiskey, climbing the beautiful mountains in the Bosnian country side, and even using a valuable phone # page for toilet paper by accident in Vienna!
Besides improving at my improvisational skills, I have developed a better understanding of both myself and a number of different cultures. Why I have founded my tour company is to take all of this amazing experience and help show others a number of regions they would normally never see! In addition to operating as operating as an eco-tour company, I hope to also give back to the less travelled areas as a way of thanking those people for the amazing memories.
The tours offered by this company will always be as ‘self propelled’ as possible, using cycling, rafting, running or even swimming to travel. The company is also a member of 1% for the planet, an organization which mandates us to donate at least 1% of gross revenue to approved environmental organizations annually. We also try to locate all of our regional staff, accommodation and business partners from like-minded sources. That said, we do include things like ATVing or power boating to keep the adrenaline pumping from time to time!!!
Each trip includes both a North American host, as well as local hosts from whatever corner of the globe that the tour is headed. Each trip is also capped at a 12-15 guests to ensure a small close-knit experience.
